Cozy Pittsburgh Refresh
This comfortable Pittsburgh home was close to market-ready but missing a few finishing touches. It only needed some basic updates and decluttering.
A cozy safe haven for people to retire to after a long day, this 2-bedroom Pittsburgh nook had a lot for buyers to admire. Unfortunately, it was missing some refinement to help prospective buyers see the home’s full potential. Working with Compass agent, Sara Passaro, we decided on some minimalist home improvement projects to uplift the space and attract buyers.
Projects for this home included:
- Refreshing the upstairs bathroom
- Updating the flooring
- Painting the interior and exterior
- Decluttering
Whether you are a homeowner or an agent, do not miss out. At Curbio, we help people sell their homes faster and for more while managing the entire process along the way. To begin, check out our free home improvement cost estimator or contact us.
The upstairs was in need of some updates to make it more welcoming. By replacing the carpet and padding alone, we were able to brighten up the space. With some decluttering to match, the bedroom and adjacent sitting room became a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The third-floor bathroom needed a few touch-ups before it would be market ready.
Along with some general cleaning, our work included:
- Installing molding to frame the mirror
- Finishing the top of the wainscot
- Replacing the toilet
With these simple updates, the room was transformed into a modern bath that would help draw in buyers.

Before we started this project, the basement was a disorganized dumping ground for holiday decorations, home improvement items, and miscellaneous personal artifacts. Some trash removal and reorganization helped to clear the mess. We also applied two coats of paint to the walls to create a clean slate for buyers.
