The Skilled Labor Shortage #2
Bright Philly Refresh
Although this house already had a lot to offer, it was missing some finishing touches to reel in buyers.
This 4-bedroom and 3-bath home outside of Philadelphia had all of the basics for buyers looking for a comfortable rural retreat. The home had desirable features such as a fireplace, two-car garage, and spacious backyard for kids. Unfortunately, a pink interior and outdated kitchen could have made buyers turn away without a second thought. With a quick refresh of the house, we were able to transform this aging abode into a stunning countryside cottage.
Some notable updates included changes to:
- the kitchen
- interior paint jobs
- flooring
These fixes coupled with some miscellaneous touch-ups and light staging were able to help our partners at Long & Foster increase the sale price of the home. If you are an agent looking to give your sellers a competitive edge or a seller looking to get your house off the market with pre-sale improvements, we want to help. To get started, contact us or begin with a pre-listing estimate.
With dark cabinetry and dated countertops, the kitchen needed some bigger updates to make it more modern and attract potential buyers.
Work included:
- Priming and painting the cabinets
- Substituting old pulls and surface mount hinges for new ones
- Replacing the countertops with new quartz ones
- Installing a stainless-steel sink & replacing the faucet

It is amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do to change the entire aesthetic of a home. Along with fixing hairline cracks and small holes, most of the interior was repainted to make the home more inviting.
New coats of paint were added to:
- walls
- ceilings
- baseboards
- chair rails
- crown moldings

Along with painting the walls, ceilings, and trim to brighten up the walkway, we also replaced the carpeting on the stairs. Instead of looking drab and almost dirty, the entryway became a bright spot in the house to welcome buyers to their potential new home.
