One of the fundamental drivers of housing affordability is housing inventory (i.e., supply), which has seen a lack of growth for years, due, in part, to the Great Recession and the labor shortages that followed. Curbio’s core business model helps real estate agents and their clients update inventory to provide a larger number of safe and functional homes to those who are ready to purchase. With the global pandemic causing enduring negative financial repercussions and inventory shortages causing incredible spikes in housing costs, we felt we should do more this year to support families who are unable to afford a safe and healthy place to live.
Owning real estate is one of the most common ways to build wealth, and the rising costs of housing leave more people wondering if they’ll ever be able to afford a home.
During the #SeasonofEstimates, in partnership with the Realtors® we work with every day, we’re excited to support an organization that’s helping to bridge the gap in housing affordability.
It’s our pleasure to donate a flat rate to Habitat for Humanity for each home improvement estimate we provide through the end of the year to give back to the communities that the agents and homeowners we partner with call home.
Why Habitat for Humanity?
When deciding how to give back, Habitat for Humanity seemed obvious. Not only has the organization been helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter for more than four decades, but it’s also focused on racial equality and helping those who are most in need through new-builds and repairs—contributing to both updating and expanding housing inventory.
