How Does Curbio Work?

We partner with Realtors to get every home repaired, updated, and ready for market. From minor repairs to major remodels, we specialize in improvements that increase home value and reduce days on market, and we defer all payment until closing — no matter what.


Are there any fees or interest charges?

Nope. There are no additional fees or interest charges. The only thing homeowners pay for is the home improvement work—just like they would with an ordinary contractor. The only difference is that we are paid for our work from the proceeds of the sale at settlement.

Is there an income requirement or a credit check involved?

There are no minimum income or credit requirements, and we require no money before settlement. Our decision to take on a project is based on the homeowner’s equity.


What happens if the home doesn’t sell?

All homes will eventually sell and we’ll wait as long as it takes to get paid. While there is no time limit, we do require the house to remain on the market until it sells, unless they choose to pay Curbio directly for our work.

What type of work do you do?

We handle all types of pre-sale renovation projects inside and outside of the home—kitchen remodels, roof repairs, bathroom upgrades, flooring replacements, HVAC, mold remediation—anything that’s required to get the house move-in ready.

Who does the work?

We do! We are licensed and insured general contractors and have PMs in each of the markets that we operate in who are full-time Curbio employees. We also rely on a network of vetted, licensed, and insured subcontractors for our projects.

What types of materials do you use? Do you only use cheaper materials?

Not at all. We have a portfolio of materials that we know buyers love. Cabinets, flooring, carpet, paint color—we hand select the materials in the portfolio based on their performance in our numerous previous projects. We use high-quality materials that result in amazing transformations, and because we operate at scale, our prices are very competitive.
